António-Pedro Vasconcelos, one of the most popular (and why not say it better) directors will be back to the Portuguese national cinemas on 28 January, with "Beauty and the paparazzi." It is a romantic comedy in the tradition of Billie Wilder (in the words of the director) with Soraia Chaves and Marco D'Almeida in the title roles. And rely on the teacher's name may seem sacrilegious, António-Pedro has demonstrated a safety and a rigor in their work that does not allow us to doubt the reference. Author of the excellent "The Immortals" (in my humble opinion, one of the best films of recent years), is an excellent storyteller, making them accessible and unpretentious, a rare thing in today's Portuguese cinema. Therefore welcomes the return of Antonio-Pedro, a filmmaker who, from the aforementioned "The Immortals", fortunately ceased to be leap.
The film also features interpretations of Nuno Markl, Peter Laginha, Maria Joao Luis, Virgil Castle, Ivo Canelas, Maria João Falcão and Nicholas Breyner. You can see them in the images that follow, and the trailer below.

It remains only to say that the film tells the story of a beautiful and popular soap opera actress who falls in love (and vice versa) by the paparazzo who has made you life dark, magazines, color pink. Needless to say she does not know who he really is. It's the kind of story that can cause great moments of good humor, which in itself is already a good reason to go to the movies. Support the Portuguese cinema is another.
PS: It also has a new song by Jorge Palma, which partially could hear in the trailer.
